EU horde realm for new player. About to start my WOW journey after watching for a while and was wondering what server would be best for me. I have managed to narrow it down to Tarren Mill, Twisting Nether, Ragnaros and Stormscale. Walk up RP is present but it is 50/50 in whether it'll be good or bad (Same on MG Alliance.) Community is more separate with no real equivalent of Warcraft Conquest or Coalition from MG (and MG Horde respectively.) MG Alliance is more or less the same like WRA Horde ... Prob a 70-30 split. Stormrage and Sargeras are both very active Alliance realms. I moved to Proudmoore for this expansion and am loving it. It's packed and there's always people around. Not sure what the split is though. It's almost entirely Alliance. Stormrage.There's usually guilds and communities dedicated to it, and people use addons such as TRP to write profiles and so on to supplement the experience. On EU the only "real" RP server left is Argent Dawn, the rest are either dead or are RP realms only in name. It's majority Alliance but plenty of Horde stuff too. First of all, find a community or join a guild that makes world PvP activities / organized action. When you are farming Korthia, around world bosses (the world quests ones giving 500 anima) or the assaults, try to group. In custom groups you will probably find something “25 kills Korthia WM on” or “Korthi rare farming WM on”.Its not so bad once you get out of the starting areas though I havent been back since the squish. This will give you the widest selections of guilds to join, and the healthiest auction house, and there are really no negatives. The choice is really up to you, and I never mock a player because of their server. I’m sure you’ll make a good choice. Avoid Kazzak, the most toxic community in this game. Horde-side it's absolutely dead. Alliance has more RP and activity overall, but the server has a LOT of toxic people in it now, and a lot of people who mock and insult RPers. That makes no sense. It is an RP server. WrA is great for both factions. Wyrmrest Accord has a good Horde population, Alliance is so so. I used the refer-a-friend "teleport to friend" feature back in Mists of Pandaria when I made my first character. Well, it glitched Ji Firepaw out back then and he followed my character around any time I was in Orgrimmar. There’s an entire phase of catch up raid coming in a few months. If you start now, you can get to max level and make some gold of do some P1 and P2 content until P4 hits. Then you can get geared for Sunwell by the time it releases. It’s a great time to start.
